Story: The movie story revolves around a special kid whose dreams come true.
Movie Review:
The movie story starts with a couple Jessie and Mark who lost his son. Now they adopt another kid Cody. Then they start experiencing some strange things with Cody. Like Cody tries to avoid sleeping at night, he gives the reason that if he will sleep then "Canker man" will come. But in starting they avoid his statement by thinking he might just having bad dreams. But one night when Cody sleeps they experience that their dead son came in real. Then after Cody's wake, he disappears. By this, the couple understands that Cody is a special kid and his dreams are coming true. But one night when Cody sleeps then a monster kind of thing comes and eats Mark. Now Jessie tries to find out the secret behind all this. Then she meets the people who adopted Cody before and do some research. Then she finds that Cody's mother was a single mother then she had cancer, which made her look like a monster. So in the ending days of her mother Cody experienced a lot's bad situations. Also, he considered that his mother killed by "Canker Man" in reference to cancer. Which leads him to have nightmares. Because he was a special kid so his dreams, as well as nightmares, start coming in real life. So at the end of the movie Jessie tells Cody that there is no "Canker man" and his mother is died due to cancer. The movie has a unique story. At some point, the movie feels horror and make feel scary. All actors did good acting especially that kid Jacob Tremblay did good work. I love the way the movie has a good believable background story and it does not end up like some other horror movies without any story. The movie properly explains what and how it happened. The movie feels boring at starting because of too much emotional drama. But after half of the movie shows some interesting things. Overall if you are a horror movie fan then you should watch this movie.
