The movie starts with one family Amanda Seyfried as Catherine Claire and her husband James Norton as George Claire relocated along with their daughter to a new place due to George's job demand. Now in the new home, they meet neighbors and other people. In this new home, Catherine starts experiencing ghosts. She tries to find what this ghost is trying to tell. Slowly things get worst and personal family tensions start dominating their life. The movie is promoted as a horror movie and also it is presented in the way of horror films. But till the end, I not experienced any horror scenes in the movie. This movie has definitely confusing story which confuses us till the end. For understanding the ending of the movie I seen several YouTube videos. By which I understood that movie is tried to convince several things behind their story. There is a deep meaning of different scenes in the movie. But I wish the movie present reason and proper explanation behind things they showing. With the big confusion movie ended with an empty conclusion. In the end, the movie disappoints us because it does not feel like a horror movie or psychological thriller. I think the movie should be presented the way they promised like a horror movie.

Amanda Seyfried played her role nicely. She still charming the way we saw her in Mean Girls (2004). She still looks young and beautiful. James Norton as well played his role nicely. James played a role of negative shades. James's role was complicated at some point he feels like a good person in other scenes he becomes evil. Both Amanda and James experienced actors did very well. But in the end movie somewhere disappointed and confused me.

In the end overall one-time watchable movie I guess.

Positive points of the movie:

Good acting!

Negative points of the movie:

Slow phase, no proper explanation, and misleading promises ("Promoted as Horror movie").

Overall My Rating:

I am giving it 3 out of 5 stars:)

3/5
